Diesel, A Bookstore in Brentwood is very happy to host Pulitzer Prize–winner Jane Smiley as she discusses and signs her newest work, Private Life, a riveting novel that traverses the intimate landscape of one woman’s life, from the 1880s to World War II, on Saturday, May 15 at 3pm. Jane Smiley is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of A Thousand Acres and more than ten other works of fiction, as well as three works of nonfiction, including a critically acclaimed biography of Charles Dickens. In 2001 she was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She lives in northern California.
