Diesel, A Bookstore in Oakland is very pleased to announce our first-ever Book Club Outreach Mixer, which will take place on Thursday, July 19th at 7pm. Diesel welcomes readers! More specifically, readers who belong (or would like to belong) to a book group. This inaugural Book Club Mixer is part of our new Book Club Outreach program. Diesel bookseller and book group coordinator Linda Grana will be offering recommendations for both fiction and nonfiction, and addressing questions such as "What makes a book suitable or unsuitable for group discussions?", "What process should we use in selecting books?", and "What can we do to make sure that every member gets a chance to share their thoughts?". Linda has been working closely with book groups for 12 years, launching new ones, as well as facilitating and rejuvenating older ones.  A small selection of the titles Linda will be discussing are below. Come one, come all to this special Book Club Outreach event - it's free and open to the public!
