Brentwood - Ann Stampler discusses and signs "Afterparty"
Diesel, A Bookstore in Brentwood welcomes author Ann Stampler to the store to discuss and sign her new book, Afterparty, on Sunday, January 12th at 3pm.
Ann Stampler's new book takes head-on the emotional challenges of being a young girl maturing into womanhood, and the struggle to make good decisions while dealing with the urge to rebel and express oneself. When Emma, a dutiful daughter to an overprotective father, meets Siobhan at her new school in California, the two become fast friends. Siobhan is everything Emma is not: free-spirited, alluring, experienced. But she's also a strong and perhaps dangerous influence, drawing Emma into a secret life. Soon, a pact agreed upon at the start of the year begins to seem rashly made as the much-anticipated year's end Afterparty, a night of infamous debauchery, draws near.
Ann Redisch Stampler is the author of the young adult novel, Where It Began, as well as several picture books, including The Rooster Prince of Breslov. Her books have been an Aesop Accolade winner, Sydney Taylor Honor and Notable Books, a National Jewish Book Awards finalist and winner, and Bank Street Best Books of the Year. Ann lives with her husband in Los Angeles.
