Diesel, A Bookstore in Brentwood welcomes cookbook author Chloe Coscarelli to the store to discuss and sign her new cookbook, Chloe's Vegan Italian Kitchen: 150 Pizzas, Pastas, Pestos, Risottos, & Lots of Creamy Italian Classics, on Tuesday, September 30th at 7pm.
If you think a healthy vegan diet means saying goodbye to sumptuous Italian fare, Chloe Coscarelli is here to set you straight. She returns to her family’s homeland to “veganize” its time-honored recipes, and add some distinctive twists of her own. From butternut ravioli with brown sugar and crispy sage to potato gnocchi, from lasagna Bolognese to eggplant parmesan – and of course, including surprising twists on favorite desserts like chocolate-dipped almond biscotti and Italian wedding cake – Chloe presents a fresh vegan take on one of the world’s best cuisines. Included also are directions for making her recipes allergy- and gluten-free to accommodate any diet.
Chloe Coscarelli is a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute of Health and Culinary Arts NYC, the University of California, Berkeley, and Cornell University's Plant-Based Nutrition Program. The author of Chloe's Kitchen and Chloe's Vegan Desserts, and creator of ChefChloe.com, she lives in New York City and Los Angeles.
