Daniel Pyne is a visiting professor at the UCLA Graduate School of Film and a writing adviser for the Sundance Institute. He wrote the acclaimed scripts for The Manchurain Candidate (2004), Pacific Heights, and Fracture, among others. Twentynine Palms is his first novel. He lives in Los Angeles.
