Hunter Drohojowska-Philp at Diesel Bookstore

Diesel, A Bookstore in Brentwood welcomes author and art historian Hunter Drohojowska-Philp to the store to discuss and sign Rebels in Paradise on Sunday, September 11th at 3pm.

Rebels in Paradise is a vibrant, kaleidoscopic account of the LA art scene in the 1960s. "Drohojowska-Philp has done massive research to compile this generous account of a movement and its movers—not just the artists (and their biographies) but many of the personalities and celebrities and hangers-on who enjoyed the decade-long whirlpool.... Comprehensive, educative and entertaining for eye, mind, imagination and libido." - Kirkus

Hunter Drohojowska-Philp is the author of Full Bloom, considered by many to be the definitive biography of Georgia O'Keefe. She is a regular contributor to Art News magazine and the Los Angeles Times, and has written for Art in America, Artforum and Art Net. She lives in Los Angeles.
