Diesel, A Bookstore in Malibu is excited to welcome geologist and thriller writer Tom Miller to the store to discuss and sign his new book, The Wave, an apocalyptic story about the eruption and catastrophic collapse of the largest volcano in the world - Mauna Loa - and the mega-tsunami that will be generated, on Sunday, May 16 at 3pm.

Tom Miller graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. He is a consummate adventurer with over 1,000 dives as a recreational scuba diver and sailed over 65,000 miles throughout the Pacific including the Hawaiian Islands. Miller has also cruised the canals of Europe on his canal barge and given numerous lectures on cruising the canals of Europe as well as sailing in the South Pacific. He has completed over 1,000 hours piloting everything from small Cessnas to Lear jets and completed three marathons.
