Pam Fong earned a degree in Visual Arts and Art History from the University of California, San Diego, and a Masters of Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University. She then had a successful career in arts management and curation before turning to her own projects. Pam Fong is the creator of multiple picture books including A Spark in the DarkRou & the Great Race, Once Upon a Forest and her newest book, When the Fog Rolls In.. She lives in San Diego, California.
DK Ryland  loves to draw animals and nature and enjoys writing books that make kids laugh. Before she started writing for kids, DK earned a film degree and spent time filming wildlife in South Africa. She also works as an online teacher and curriculum writer, composing curriculum-aligned teaching guides for picture books. When not writing and illustrating, you can find DK going on adventures with her husband and two kids, visiting the giraffes at the San Diego Safari Park, playing sports, or reading a book - while petting a cat or a dog. Giraffe Is Too Tall for This Book is her first picture book.
Sally J. Pla is the author of three acclaimed novels--The Someday Birds; Stanley Will Probably Be Fine; and The Fire, the Water, and Maudie McGinn--and a picture book, Benji, the Bad Day, and Me. She is an autism/neurodiversity advocate who has worked as a business journalist and in public education. She lives with her family in Southern California, not too far from the ocean.
Greg van Eekhout is the author of four novels for adults and seven middle-grade novels. Weird Kid won the California Independent Booksellers Alliance Golden Poppy Award for best middle-grade book. He lives in San Diego, California, with his astronomy/physics professor wife and two dogs.
