CANCELLED - Brentwood - Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30 pm - Candice Lapin discusses and signs "Parenting in the Age of Perfection"
Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled. We are working on rescheduling Candice to come to the store some time in June. The new event will be posted on the calendar when confirmed.
Join us on Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30 pm as we welcome Candice Lapin to the store to discuss and sign Parenting in the Age of Perfection: A Modern Guide to Nurturing a Success Mindset!
A wakeup call for today’s parents. We have become a culture wildly afraid of imperfection. In our insta-everything world, we give people “our good side.” We pose. We curate. An entire generation is broadcasting their experiences as if they are spokesmodels for the perfect life. Welcome to what meta-learning expert Candice Lapin has dubbed the Perfection Age. In a world like this, the pressure for surface appearances has created no room for mistakes, compassion nor imperfection. The result is a crisis of confidence.
In Parenting in the Age of Perfection, Lapin draws on case studies, scientific research, and her own experiences as a successful learning and life coach to showcase patterns that feed into the environment of perfection, along with tools and skills to get children back on track. In this book, parents will learn the techniques that Lapin has successfully used to transform her clients’ lives for the better. This book is the ideal field guide for any parent who wants a step-by-step method to change how they and their children approach school, life and their inner world.
If you’re ready to help your child move to a place of positivity, confidence and resilience, this is the book you’ve been waiting for.
Candice Lapin was a successful entrepreneur in both fashion and tech. Her eponymous fashion line graced the pages of German Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, In Style and Us Weekly to name a few, all while working as the Managing Attorney of Legalzoom.com. She later went on to launch a successful start up and was the first female invited into a start-up accelerator in Silicon Beach. Yet with all of her achievements, something was missing from Lapin’s life. For years, she had started one business after another, yet felt seriously stifled and unfulfilled. She stumbled into mentoring kids, families and now adults after experiencing major burn out. She now runs The Ladder Method, a meta-learning company where coaches teach her methods to hundreds of kids, families, and business executives in Orange County, Los Angeles, New York and now online.
