DIESEL Brentwood Celebrates Indies First/Small Business Saturday!

Join some of our favorite local authors at DIESEL, A Bookstore, on Saturday, November 25th to celebrate the start of the holiday season. They'll be here to offer their expert book suggestions.  After all, what makes a better gift than a book, and who knows books better than authors? Participating authors this year will be Tom Holland, Carter Higgins, Christopher Farnsworth and Robinne Lee!

All across the country, authors will be spending Saturday, November 25th, volunteering as booksellers at their local independent bookstores as part of the Indies First program. Can't make it to Diesel? Check the map here to find a participating bookstore near you.

Want to win $1,000 worth of books?!! Between November 15 and November 26, Twitter and Instagram users who tag a U.S. independent bookstore, like DIESEL, A Bookstore, and use the hashtag #ShopIndiesFirstSweepstakes will be entered to win $1,000 worth of books from Penguin Random House. A random drawing will be held in mid-December to select five grand prize winners, who will each receive $1,000 worth of books. In addition, the independent bookstores named in the winning posts will each receive $1,000 worth of books to be donated to a local nonprofit. All prizes are courtesy of Penguin Random House. See the complete sweepstakes rules here

Small Business Saturday® was founded in 2010 by American Express to help business owners with their most pressing need: getting more customers. Seven years later, shoppers across the nation continue to rally in support of small businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Shop at local small businesses and spread the word on social media using the hashtag #ShopSmall.
