Kids' PJ Party with Elaine Miller Bond!

Elaine Miller Bond at DIESEL, A Bookstore in LarkspurDIESEL, A Bookstore in Oakland welcomes author Elaine Miller Bond to the store as our guest bedtime reader on Friday, June 23rd at 6pm.

Pull on your PJs and bring your teddy bear to the bookstore! Author/photographer Elaine Miller Bond will be here to read you some bedtime stories from Running Wild and Living Wild. Get cozy, listen to a story or two, have some milk and cookies and get your books signed, then head home for bed.

How do you like to move? Do you like to swim like a sea lion, prance like a deer, slither like a snake, or crawl like a turtle? Running Wild has photographs of wild animals that go hand-in-hand with text that encourages youngsters to skip, dash, dive, and run through the natural world.
Living Wild is the author's second book and introduces small children to ideas about themselves and relating to other creatures.

Elaine Miller Bond began her career as senior science writer for the University of California Natural Reserve System and went on to write and photograph independently. Her photos have appeared on Discovery Channel Canada, and her publishing credits include Science, NPR, BBC Earth News, The American Naturalist, The Washington Post, Journal of Mammalogy, Berkeleyside, and other scientific and popular outlets. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, near her favorite childhood park, where she continues to search the creeks for newts and follow the paw prints of coyotes.
